British rock sensation Coldplay has announced that it will kick off its highly anticipated 2025 North American leg of the Music of the Spheres World Tour at Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto, California. The concert, set for May 31, 2025, marks the start of a 10-city tour that will span from May through July, featuring stops in Las Vegas, Denver, El Paso, Toronto, Boston, Madison, Nashville, and Miami.
This latest addition to the long-running Music of the Spheres tour comes after Coldplay’s recent release of their 10th studio album, Moon Music, which includes singles like “We Pray” and “feelslikeimfallinginlove.” Fans can also expect to hear the band’s iconic hits, such as “Yellow,” “Fix You,” “Clocks,” and “A Sky Full of Stars,” during the high-energy performances filled with dazzling lasers, fireworks, and LED wristbands.
Coldplay’s tour is renowned not just for its musical excellence but also for its commitment to sustainability. The band’s latest environmental initiatives have significantly reduced the tour’s carbon emissions, surpassing their goal by cutting 59% of CO2e emissions compared to their 2016/17 tour. As part of this effort, Coldplay continues to plant millions of trees globally.
The tour will offer a unique opportunity for fans to purchase Infinity Tickets, which will be available at an affordable $20 per ticket. These limited-availability tickets, sold in pairs, allow fans to enjoy the concert from various locations within the stadium.
Stanford Live and Stanford Athletics, who are co-presenting the event, have expressed their excitement about Coldplay’s upcoming performance, which is expected to bring the community together and reflect the university’s dedication to sustainability.
Tickets for the Stanford show go on sale starting Friday, October 11, 2024, at 12 p.m. PT via Ticketmaster. Fans eager to secure their spot can also sign up for the artist presale, which begins at 9 a.m. PT the same day.
